I am very excited to announce a competition that I am running in collaboration with the Surrey Advertiser newspaper to celebrate the launch of my new book, It’s A Kid’s Life – Christmas Countdown!

Before we get to the details, let me tell you about the amazing prizes the winners will receive. First and foremost, the winners will have their articles published in the Surrey Advertiser! Yes, that right! If you win, your article will actually be published in this well respected newspaper alongside all of their fantastic reporters. How amazing would that be?

And, as if that isn’t exciting enough, you would also win a signed copy of my new book, congratulating you on your amazing achievement… plus a £10 book voucher… plus a £10 voucher of your choice from Xbox live / Playstation / New Look / Sports Direct / Amazon / Claire’s Accessories. Sound good?

If you would like to be in with a chance to win this amazing prize bundle, here is what you need to do to enter…
Write a newspaper article of no more than 500 words about anything you wish. It could be about something you are passionate about and want to raise awareness… it could be about a local event taking place… it could be about something you witness in your local area… it could be about absolutely anything you think other people would enjoy reading! But remember, it is for a newspaper so it needs to be based on fact and not fiction.

So, if this sounds like something you could do (and believe me when I say, you can do this!), get thinking about what you would like to write about, take a look at my post giving you tips and advice on how to write it, and get writing!
There will be two age categories for the competition and there will be one winner from each. One category is for children aged ten to eleven and the other category is for children aged seven to nine.

Please email entries to writingcompetition@yahoo.com or post to the Surrey Advertiser – FAO Kerry Gibb, c/o Andre Langlois, Surrey Advertiser, Stoke Mill, Woking Road, Guildford, GU1 1QA. Please also complete the below entry form and send it with your entry.
